About David Prabhaker Bandi
When you think of a guitar record, do Indians come to your mind?
If not, they should. Because the world's fastest guitarist is from Hyderabad.
Dr. David prabhaker Bandi is certified from Trinity Music college London. Honorary doctorate in pedagogy, music theory and music history. David Prabhaker Bandi, created a new world record by playing 'Flight of the Bumblebee' at a speed of 1708 BPM (Beats Per Minute) in 28 seconds.
He thus secured his place as the fastest guitarist in the world, at the International Wonder Book of Files.
"I accomplished this feat at SRM University, Amaravathi, in March. This is the result of many sleepless nights I spent practicing, with the sole objective of achieving this record. My last attempt to enter the Guinness Book of Records was June 24 2019."
David is not only preoccupied with breaking and making world records but also makes it a point to teach younger generations how to play guitar. "I want to inspire my students. I want them to learn from me and set their own goals for the future and work hard to achieve them. I want to be remembered by them as the man who never gave up his dreams and instead tried to create world records at the age of 49 when most people start making their retirement plans."
